Support Services Operative & Yardman - Glasgow

An excellent opportunity has opened up for an experienced service operative to work for one of our large national manufacturing clients, who supply across the UK and Europe.

Candidates should have the following:

• Fluent in English with excellent communication skill,
• Ability to use their own initiative and have previous experience in a support / yard function.
• The individual would have an array of Health & Safety and environment knowledge, and work alongside a team of hardworking individuals daily.
• Candidate must be physically fit.
• Have a Full Forklift truck driving license.
• Willingness to work in different weather conditions
• Should be willing to work in varied role

Duties include

• Emptying of Waste Skips, General tidying, maintaining a High Cleaning standard of the factory floor and yard and taking instructions from the Support Services manager.
• To ensure that visitors and contractors on the yard comply, with all security and safety regulations when on site.
• In addition, you will be required to work as Banksman to monitor and control vehicular movement in and out of the yard. (Training will be Provided)
• Perform ad hoc tasks (assisting in building repairs and maintenance.)

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8-4:30Pm, Fridays: 8-3:30Pm
