Nurses have also recently been protesting over pay, with the slogan 'scrap the cap' being paraded across social media after it's been unearthed that the 1% cap on public sector pay has seen nursing pay fall by 14% since 2010.

Other discussions among the nursing community include CNO promoting nursing roles to transform care in mental health and learning disabilities.

Support Beatson Cancer Charity

Did you know that Beatson Cancer Charity is our charity of the year?

Since our position allows us to create lasting relationships with an eclectic assortment of clients, we think it’s important to give back what we’ve received in the business universe and do all we can to provide support for charitable causes. This is why we're giving all we can this year to the Beatson through a client charter. 


 
Beatson Cancer Charity works with current, former and future cancer patients and their families across Scotland on a national scale covering a population of 60%, including some areas of the Highlands and Islands, delivering support for their treatment and wellbeing. Determined to beat cancer, Beatson raises funds not only to further innovative research projects and treatment methods for cancer patients but also to provide specialist staff and complementary therapy from massage treatments to hair loss and wig care services. Focussing on both the physical and mental wellbeing of their patients, Beatson are unique in delivering support with compassion, commitment and care.

This month we polished up our business cards, got our glad rags on and headed to Meet The Buyer 2017 to chat all things recruitment and enterprise with some of Scotland's biggest and best businesses. The event took place at Hampden park, and pictured are our very own Head of Talent Alanna Maxwell and Chief Of Operations Clare Brennan.

A bridge built in Lima, Peru around 1610 was made of mortar that was mixed not with water but with the whites of 10,000 eggs. The bridge, appropriately called the Bridge of Eggs, is still standing today.
