Industry News

This month we've seen investigations into EU nurses and why they're reluctant to join the NHS with a drop in EU nurses at a staggering 89%- something that will hardly aid the current nursing shortage. The NMC also claimed that there is 27% more nurses leaving the register than joining.

It's not all bad news though! It's been revealed that millennials are 60% more likely to become nurses than the previous generation, something that will hopefully increase the number of RGN's. Remember the horrific case of the US nurse assaulted and unlawfully arrested? She's obtained some form of justice for her treatment, having received a $500,000 payout.

There's also been good news regarding the nursing protest over 'scrap the cap', as Jeremy Hunt has decided to lift the cap finally.

Fun Fact

The Great Pyramid of Giza Was the Tallest Building in the World for Over 3,800 Years. The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and for good reason. From its completion around 2560 BC to 1311 AD it was the tallest building in the world. Since it was replaced by Lincoln Cathedral in England as the tallest building in the world, no other building has held the title for longer than 250 years.
